Okay I just typed this all up, but it decided to delete therefore ruining a little bit of my morning haha. On the other hand...HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!! I am so excited to not have school this Monday! I plan on seeing Papertowns this afternoon with my best friend, Kate, but we will have to wait and see. I would have already seen it, but unfortunately when it came out I was in Colorado. Though, I must say I would rather have been down in Alabama sunbathing on the beach with my book in hand. Anyways I promise to update you all on how the movie it if I get to see it!
Comment below what your plans are for this weekend!

Hey guys! I figured all of you would want to hear about something other than ITunesU in my posts for today, so I will be talking to all of you about music!

When recording using iMovie for our Wide, Medium, and Tight shots at first it was kind of hard because even though you have read and watched videos on how to do it, you've never really done it all by yourself. However, watching the videos made by other students in my Broadcast Technology class helped me to understand the mistakes that could be made while filming and how to correct them. This way when our class went out for the second time to record these three shots I was a lot more comfortable, and my shots were clearly better than the first time around. Introducing the Topic- Research
When going through each section in the ITunes university app, there were different components that I we're good but others that were just there. For example, in the articles it really helped me understand what it is to a mobile journalist due to explaining the fields and what they really did for their jobs. Over all they told a story in which they inspired others to become a video journalist, and taught them that through this you can pass on your views of this world. On the other hand, a couple of sights just listed different apps to use to improve your videos. This would be great if I was actually using them, but most of them cost money that I'm not allowed to spend. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to do with the apps we read about because I needed to pay for them to try them out. I learned that it's important to tell a story that could inspire others, and to know what apps are useful without actually them. Visual Storytelling reflection
First off, I found this part a ton more helpful because it focused more on creating the story. This helped since that's one the things I really struggle with. For example, the On the Road segment about the boy, Keith, and his teammates directed me towards more of a happy sided tale. I always viewed news as more of what awful things are going on in the community, rather than showing how with the help of others we can make the world a happier place. Also, the action, reaction taught me, after making the check marks on the sheet, that for every action there has to be a reaction so you need to go back in forth every single shot to show more emotion or depth to the situation. Such as when the woman singing stated she wanted to be something big, and the reaction was the audience laughing at her because they thought she was a pathetic nobody. Therefore, this section on ITunes University seemed to give more of an idea of what should be going in the films. Hey guys! I hope all of you are having a wonderful Wednesday! Mine was a pretty easy day that ended with ice cream from my uncle's shop, Weather Vane Ice Creme in Granite City, IL. It was so good.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you all about my favorite dog which would be a Shih Tzu which are literally adorable. I'm not really sure why, but I love small puppies that stay that way throughout their lives. I think when I grow up I am just going to have puppies with no other worries that life brings. Comment below your favorite dog and why! Hey guys! To see previous blogs go to the page titled Witty Updates. I've now created an actual blog page to let you all now comment! I hope all of you have noticed the updates made to my website, and appreciate the easier access. Anyway, it's Tuesday and I'm already ready for the weekend, but on the bright side when this upcoming weekend arrives it will be a long one. YAY LABOR DAY!! Wait shouldn't it be called Non-Labor Day because it's basically a day to escape the reality of a life of work.
Moving on to the topic of hair. Yes my friends, hair. First off, I have really coarse hair, so I have to use a flat iron to make it look decent. Also, my hair used to be so thick, and this past year I started thinning it out. But...I think I miss my thick hair, and its beautiful pony tails. Therefore, when I get my haircut the next few times I'm going to just leave it be. Okay word of advice stop washing your hair everyday. This is my fourth week of washing mine every other day, and it literally looks so much better. My split ends are healing and everything. See ya! |
